Zane Treece Obituary

Zane R. Treece, Sr., 67, of Weaver Falls Road, Saxton, PA, passed away on Friday, July 2, 2021 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.  He was born on July 13, 1953 in Huntingdon, PA; a son of the late Russell and Mona (Dively) Treece.  On March 20, 1972 in Cumberland, Maryland; he married Eugennie L. (Black) Treece.  She preceded him in death on October 8, 2013. 

He is survived by three children: Cindy married to Brad McCue, Everett, PA;  

Zane Treece, Jr., Saxton, PA and Julie married to Ben Bithell, Saxton, PA; grandchildren: 

Hunter and Tanner McCue; Andrew, Brady, Matti and Carter Bithell and Katelyn, Zane III, and Logan Treece; siblings Steve Treece married to Sheila, Jeff Treece married to Denise, Rhonda Treece – Burket married to Jack, Craig Treece married to Debra and Joel Treece married to Dana. 

Zane was a graduate of Tussey Mountain Class of 1971 and attended Electronics Institute in Harrisburg. 

He was employed at Westvaco as a machine adjuster for numerous years until his retirement. 

Zane was an active member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Dudley where he was in the choir, and was a faithful volunteer of the ICC Food Pantry.  He was a member of the Saxton Volunteer Fire Company and Knights of Columbus.

Zane loved to use his photography skills, he could often be found capturing memories of school kids and their events.  He loved and adored his grandchildren; he was so proud of them and would be at their every event.

Family and Friends may call at the Akers Funeral Chapel, 715 Church Street on Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 3:00 P.M. until the hour of service at 7:00 P.M. 

Saxton Volunteer Fire Company to hold services at 6:45 P.M.

Funeral Mass will be held at 7:00 PM.

If friends so desire in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mr. Treece to the ICC Food Pantry or Saxton Volunteer Fire Company.

Burial will be held privately in Ava Maria Catholic Cemetery.
