Vesta C. (Baughman) Foor

Vesta C. Foor, 95, formerly of Everett, Pa.; passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021.  She was born June 19, 1925 in Everett, a daughter of the late Francis and Zelma (Sprowl) Baughman.

On November 3, 1943, she was united in marriage to Albert K. “Abby” Foor.  He preceded her in death on February 29, 2008.  She is survived by one son Larry Foor and wife Eva, Schellsburg, PA; grandsons Johnathan and his children Asher and Eden and Matthew and wife Jennifer and their son Tyler Pinto; one sister Joyce (Guy) Diehl, Everett, one brother Ronald (Delores) Baughman, Everett.

Along with her husband she was preceded in death by sisters Velva Clark, Hyacinith Mozden, Sara Foor, Yvonne Cornell, Donna Clark and Dorothy (Patty) Robinette; brothers Eugene, Dallas, Wayne, Rex, and Junior.

She was a life member of the Mt. Union Christian Church, Mench, where she helped serve dinners, sang in the adult choir and assisted with alter flowers.  She also worked for many families in the Bedford and Everett areas. 

Over the years she was employed by the Green Thumb program working at the Old Bedford Village in various houses and DeHaven bottling in Cumberland, Maryland.  She enjoyed her flower garden, especially roses, crocheting, and making afghans.  She loved the outdoors and cooking for her family.

A Private Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Lambert officiating.

Burial will be held at Mt. Union Cemetery.
