Vera M. (Calhoun) Ramsey

Vera M. Ramsey, 87, of Pleasant Valley Road, Crystal Spring, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at home.  She was born on December 9, 1934 in Menchtown, a daughter of the late Simon and Maude (Clark) Calhoun.  She was united in marriage to Virgil E. Ramsey.  He preceded her in death on April 19, 2007.

She is survived by the following children:  Beverly married to Clifford Williams, Crystal Spring; Steve Ramsey married to Roxy (Dick), Chambersburg; Ronnie Ramsey married to Brandi (Sieler), Bedford; Wayne Ramsey married to Tammy (Love), Broad Top; Donnie Ramsey, Philadelphia and Joey Ramsey, McConnellsburg; grandchildren Devon, Keith, Cliffy, Stevie, Autumn, Tori, Shane, Kaitlyn and Kristen; great grandchildren Malchi, Parker, Bella, Paytton, Saige, Aarika, Lana, Aubrey, Caison and Luke.  She is also survived by siblings Dean Calhoun, Arlene Strait and Leo Calhoun.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, great-granddaughter Chloe Ramsey and siblings Willard Calhoun, Robert Calhoun, Allen Calhoun, Marvin Calhoun, Clyde Calhoun, Pauline Pee and Louise Imler.

She enjoyed keeping her home clean and tidy and reading her Bible.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Dustin Feaster officiating.

Friends and Family may call at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537 on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 from 5-8 P.M. and on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service.

Burial will be held at Mountain Chapel Cemetery.
