Thelma Mae Risbon

Thelma Mae Risbon, 86, passed away September 20, 2022 with her daughters and granddaughter by her side. Her viewing will be held on Saturday October 1, 2022 at 10:00am with services followed at 11:00am at Akers Funeral Home, 715 Church Street Saxton, Pa 16678.

Thelma was born on June 21, 1936 in Lititiz, PA and was married to James Risbon who she was married to for 69 years, he passed on December 26, 2021. They were blessed with 5 children James Edward Risbon Jr. (Deceased), Susan Risbon, Diane Ferguson ( Rick Ferguson ), Carol Puccella ( John Puccella ), Kathy Valletto ( Steven Valletto). She also leaves behind her 5 grandchildren. Barry Whiteman ( Michelle Whiteman ), James Risbon III, Jennifer LaNett ( Louis LaNett ), Joshua Risbon and Anthony Puccella. She is also survived by her 4 great children and one due this coming February.

Thelma was a hard worker and worked as a line worker supervisor in the bakery at Pepperidge Farm in Downingtown, PA for 23 years while raising her children. After retirement, her and her husband moved permanently to their mountain home in Saxton, Pa. She enjoyed her passion for gardening, having the family over anytime they could visit and for anyone that knew her, knew she had the gift of gab. She will be missed dearly by everyone she has touched and left behind.

Family and Friends are invited to attend a celebration of Life gathering on Saturday October 1, 2022 immediately following at the Happy Hollow Restaurant located at 10924 Raystown Rd. Saxton, PA 16678 In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Veterans Organizations in honor of Thelma’s name.
