Obituary

Sondra lee Barney, 78 of Elk Lick Road, Everett, PA, passed away on May 11, 2022 at ProMedica Donahoe Manor, Bedford. She was born on November 8, 1943 in Cumberland Maryland, a daughter of the late Norman L. and Alta Ruth (Breese) Simpson-Wentling. On March 11th 1986 in Cumberland, MD she was united  in marriage to Roger D. Barney 

Along with her husband she is survived by children Randy Owings and wife Vicki and Dana Norton husband Rick; two step children Pamela VanPelt and William Barney; grandchildren Lacy Lancaster and husband Chad, Curtis Norton and wife Ruthie, Kyle Norton and wife Sarah, Collin Norton and partner Ashley Williamson, Christopher Van Pelt and wife, Erica; great grandchildren Taylor, Bentley and Brynn Lancaster, Chandra Sell, Owen and Hadley Norton, and Emma Van Pelt; a brother Rusty Simpson and wife Janice; and two nieces Jennifer and Jessica.

She was preceded in death by grandson Tyler Owings. 

Sondra worked in the health care industry and was a long time room manager at the Bedford Springs Hotel. 

At Sondra’s request there will be no services.
