Shanda L. Hinish

Shanda L. Hinish, 39, of Breezewood, went to be with her Lord on Friday, April 9, 2021.  She was born on August 30, 1981 at Bedford County Memorial Hospital, a daughter of John L. and Sherry L. (Truax) Hinish of Breezewood.  

Along with her parents she is survived by two sons Bryer and McCormick Hinish; brothers Derrick Hinish and companion Jessica Diehl and Daylan Hinish and companion Alex Shearer; four nieces and nephews Kenzi Hinish, Jaicey Hinish, Eli Hinish and Case Hinish; aunts and uncles and special cousins.  

She was preceded in death by grandparents William Lee and Jean Truax and George and Norma Hinish.  

Shanda was formerly affiliated with the Mt. Chapel Church.  

She was a graduate of Everett Area High School Class of 2000.  She previously worked at Kerex Lumber in Breezewood.   

Shanda enjoyed horseback riding, hunting and coloring and painting with her boys and had a fun spirit about her and an unforgettable laugh.  

Family and Friends may call at Akers Funeral Home, 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA on Thursday, April 15, 2021 from 6-8 P.M. and on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service.  

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Lay Speaker Kenneth Hinish officiating.  

We ask those that are in attendance please follow CDC guidelines and recommendations.  

Burial will be held at Mt. Chapel Cemetery.
