Robert Dean Wigfield

Robert Dean Wigfield, 74 of Winding Ridge Road, Everett, PA; passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.  He was born on June 10, 1948 in Roaring Spring, PA; a son of the late Robert Barton and Viola (Wigfield) Miller.  On June 6, 1967 in Everett, PA he was united in marriage to the former Cinda (Lewis) Wigfield. 

Along with his wife of fifty-five years he is survived by daughters Melissa Drass married to James, Charleston, SC; Brenda Stoops married to Shawn, Waynesboro, PA and Dena Ward married to Rick, Everett, PA; grandchildren Zachary Drass married to Angelica, Orlando, FL; Mary Jane Santana, Charleston, SC and Megan Vogelsong, Waynesboro, PA; great-grandchildren Maddox Vogelsong and Chester Santana and brother Bobby Barton.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by siblings Tammy Barton Bollman and Richard Wigfield.

Robert was a member of the Mt. Union Christian Church where he volunteered in any way that he could, whether it being fixing things or cleaning.  Despite losing his arm on November 28, 1966 he worked manual labor all of his life.  He loved his family, church family and his cat “Miss Whitey”.

Friends and family will be received on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537 from 4-7 P.M and on Friday, July 22 from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the church.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the Mt. Union Christian Church with Pastor Todd Greenawalt officiating.

Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
