Phoebe L. (Miller) Imler

Phoebe L. Imler, 90, of The Village of Morrisons Cove formerly of Saxton, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022.  She was born on November 5, 1932 in Saxton, PA; a daughter of the late Ralph and Martha (Brumbaugh) Miller.  On February 2, 1952 in Maryland; she was united in marriage to Levi Imler.  He preceded her in death on December 8, 1998. 

She is survived by two children Timothy Imler married to Cathy, Hopewell, PA and Pamela married to Jon Morningstar, Saxton; three grandchildren Sean Imler, Sharon Ricker and Cody Morningstar; seven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; sister-in-law Harriet Miller and brother-in-law Ithel Wright.

She was preceded in death by a grandson Joel Morningstar and siblings Joe B. Miller, Ned Miller, Betty Cottle, Dorcas Worthing, Elva Cottle, Mary Wright and Daniel Miller.

Phoebe was a member of the Raven Run Church of the Brethren where over the years, she taught Sunday school, was a youth leader, choir member, custodian, board member and participated in the women’s fellowship, widows group and was an organizer of Women of Faith.

She was a hairdresser, owning her shop in her home for many years Phoebe Imler Beauty Salon.  Phoebe was a graduate of Saxton Liberty High School Class of 1950.

She enjoyed quilting, painting, flower gardening, cooking and gardening.

Friends and Family may call at the Raven Run Church of the Brethren on Monday, November 28, 2022 from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the church.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 28, 2022 at 12:00 Noon at the Raven Run Church of the Brethren with Pastor Rob Reed officiating.

Burial will be at Bunker Hill Cemetery.

If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Phoebe to the Raven Run Church of the Brethren, Memorial Fund.
