Norman “Pepper” R. Harding, 84, of Pennknoll Village went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 22, 2020 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital. He was born on September 30, 1936 in Langondale, Pennsylvania; a son of the late John “Pete” and Tesse (Hughes) Harding.
“Pepper” is survived by sister Zelda M. Miller of Hopewell; brother Donald “Chub” Harding of Hopewell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers and sisters Betty Baughman, Veda Bosnjak, Earl Harding, Iline Costal, Marshall Harding, John “Sonny” Harding, Vickey Melius and Ricky “Gene” Harding.
Norman lived most of his life in Sharon, Pennsylvania. He moved back home to Bedford County in June of 2017. He was in the same nursing home hall as his sister, Iline Costal. He has lived a happy, full life with lots of love from his family and friends. “Pepper” always had a “happy-go-lucky” personality and will always be remembered by his big smile and contagious laugh.
At Norman’s request, there will be no public viewing. Interment will take place at Duvall’s Cemetery on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Lanny Hoover officiating, Six Mile Run.
