Minnie Mae Fox, 100, of Martinsburg, passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at Homewood at Martinsburg. She was born on October 10, 1920 in Stonerstown, PA; a daughter of the late Chalmer and Artheda (Stinson) Roland. On October 25, 1944 in Harrisburg, PA she was united in marriage to Edward Kenneth “Ken” Fox. He preceded her in death on June 17, 2007.
She is survived by two children Richard L. Fox married to Michele, Hollidaysburg and
Sue Ann married to Peter Moyer, State College; four grandchildren Crystal Karmen, Megan Barnes, Christopher Moyer and Jeffrey Moyer; four great grandchildren Haili Smith, Brooke Smith, Ellie Moyer, Edward C. Moyer and a new arrival planned in May.
Mrs. Fox was a member of Chapel on the Hill United Church of Christ, Seminole, Florida and attended the Chapel at Homewood, Martinsburg.
Minnie was a graduate of Saxton Liberty High School Class of 1938. Before WWII she was a dental hygienist for Dr. Charles Barton, Saxton. During the war she worked at a munitions factory in Elkton, MD and later for Dravo Corp in Pittsburgh. She also previously worked at Elko Electronics in Huntingdon and later PALL Corporation in Florida.
She was member of the Mt. Union Chapter of the Eastern Star.
A Private Funeral Service will be held at the Akers Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jerry McCuller Jr. officiating.
Burial will be held in Grandview Cemetery, Saxton.
