Michael Eugene Simmons, 64, of Johnstown, PA; passed away on Friday, June 4, 2021 at his father’s home in Artemas with family be his side.

He was born on December 6, 1956 in Takoma Park, MD; a son of Marvin Eugene Simmons of Artemas, PA and Patricia Ann (Poehlman) Fusco married to George, Mt. Airy, MD. Along with his parents he is survived by siblings Cheryl A. Simmons; Scott H. Simmons married to Vivienne; John P. Simmons married to Michelle; step-sister Dawn Ward married to Steven “Skip” and step-brother George Fusco, Jr.; nieces and nephew: Taylor married to Mike, Katlyn, Alexandra, Kirstin, Morgan, Aria, Bella and Killian.

Michael served in the United States Navy as a quartermaster.

He worked his career in the construction industry. Michael’s free and loving spirit touched many lives with his deep love for his family and friends. Michael’s individual passions included the outdoors, nature and travel. The mountains and the ocean especially, but anyplace new to discover and witness.

Services will be held privately by the family.
