Mary Marie (Horton) Diehl

Mary M. Diehl, 90, of Everett, PA, passed away on Monday, May 29, 2023 at TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center, Springfield, TN.  She was born on October 1, 1932 in Everett, Pennsylvania; a daughter of the late Howard Horton and Edith Grace (Millin) Diehl.  On July 21, 1953 in Winchester, VA she was united in marriage to Robert Eugene Diehl, he preceded her in death on January 4, 1998.

She is survived by children Doris J. Diehl and fiancé Frank Foor of Hopewell, PA; Bonnie L. Lasher of Springfield, TN; Marty E. Diehl married to Joyce of Vine Grove, KY, Carrol A. married to Kenneth Hughes of New Enterprise, PA; sons-in-law Edward Crawford and Mark Snyder; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.

Along with her parents and loving husband, she is preceded in death by daughters Betty L. Snyder and Edith E. Crawford; a brother, Clifford Horton, great grandson Kenneth; son-in-law Donald Lasher, Jr.; and a half-brother, Wynford “Bruce” Foor.

Mary was a member of the Yellow Creek C.O.B where she was active in the Women’s Fellowship for many years.  She was a graduate of Everett High School Class of 1955.

She enjoyed playing Bingo and Dominos. Mary also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Friends and Family may call at the Akers Funeral Home, 299 Raystown Road, Everett on Thursday, June 1, 2023 from 6-8 P.M. and on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home, Everett with Pastor Tom Smith officiating.

Burial will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park.

If friends so desire in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Diehl to Yellow Creek Church of the Brethren
