Mable Gerterde Shipley, 84, of Orbisonia formerly of Artemas, PA; passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Woodland Retirement Center, Orbisonia. She was born on June 10, 1938 in Chambersburg, PA; a daughter of the late Wilber and Vada Viola (Carbaugh) Saunders. On April 16, 1986 in Cumberland, MD; she was united in marriage to Glenn W. Shipley, he preceded her in death on February 25, 2009.

She is survived by four children Keith Filer, Russell Kane, Nancy Gonzalez and Vada Harmon; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and siblings Mary Bigler, Margaret Goff, Shirley Davis, Betty MiddleKauff and Ethel Clerenger.

She was preceded in death by children Henrietta and Charles.

Mable formerly attended Fairview Christian Church.

She enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Mable over the years worked at the Shoe Factory and also waitressed at various places.

Burial will be held privately at Fairview Cemetery, Artemas, PA.
