Lois Virginia (Myers) Roy

Lois Virginia Roy, 88, of Clearville, PA; passed away on Wednesday September 30, 2020 at Meadow View Nursing Center, Berlin, PA.  She was born on November 01, 1931 in Waynesboro, PA; a daughter of the late Samuel I. and Virginia (Baumgardner) Myers.

She was united in marriage to John B. Roy on November 20, 1948 in Hagerstown, MD.   He preceded her in death.

She is survived by children Retta married to John Fluke, John Roy married to Linda, Mary Jane “MJ” married to Richard Whitfield, Lois married 
to Frank Weaver, and Hester Molovich; six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; siblings John Myers and Alice Fries and a special brother-in-law Robert Verbal.

She was preceded in death by son-in-law Ralph Molovich, sister Dana Myers and a granddaughter.

Lois enjoyed painting, gardening, doing ceramics and watching hummingbirds.

Family and Friends will be received on Monday, October 5, 2020 from 11:30 A.M. until the hour of 
service at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett.  We ask that those in attendance would follow CDC guidelines by wearing a mask and following social distancing.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 5, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Lee Seese officiating.

Burial will be held privately at the Hillcrest Memorial Park, Cumberland, MD.

If friends so desire memorial contributions may be made in memory of Lois to the Alzheimer’s 
Foundation or Heartland Hospice of Somerset.
