Leona B. (Smith) Hann

Leona B. Hann, 73, of Everett, PA; went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 12, 2020 at Pennknoll Village.  She was born on July 27, 1947 in Warfordsburg, PA; a daughter of the late Clem and Anna (Lee) Smith.  Her love and life companion Ronald V. Hixson, preceded her in death on January 13, 2017.

She is survived by three sons;  Hobert E. Hann, Jr. married to Guyda and grandchildren Zacary and Amber great grandchildren Isabella and Maxen; Shawn Hann married to Michelle, grandchildren Alex and Tessa; Andrew Hann married to Theresa. Her love and life partner of 30+ years Ron Hixson of Crystal Springs, PA. daughter Nicole married to Michael and grandson Kevin; son Shawn Hixson married to Dawn . Along with countless cousins, nieces, and nephews that she was grateful to call family. 

She is survived by 1 brother Leon Smith and 5 sisters; Nancy, Marge,
Faye, Pat and Brenda. Preceded in death by 2 brothers and 1 sister; Allen Lee and Clem Jr ( Seth ) and sister Ruth. 

Leona had  an amazing life she traveled the globe for her earlier years as USMC wife she lived in Hawaii, Guam, California, Michigan, North Carolina,Multiple towns in Pennsylvania but settled in the little town of Everett, PA from around 38 years old until her passing. She was a avid hugger and loved to talk and socialize. Her faith carried her and helped her to be the amazing mother, aunt, sister or friend she was to so many. Leona attended Mountain Chapel Church in Breezewood, PA. Her hobbies included making birthday calls to family, friends , church attendees and  anyone needing a call. She was also a avid prayer warrior for all prayer line requests. She loved to draw pictures and give personalized cards. You got cards from her all year long celebrating life and its events. 
Her biggest joys were always spending time with her large family, extended family, church family and friends. Mom also loved her sweet tea. 

At Leona's request, there will be no services held at this time.  She will be laid to rest in accordance of her wishes at the family's convenance with a large celebration of life.
There will be two celebration of life ash spreading memorials in the spring for family members to attend. 

If friends so desire memorial contributions may be made in memory of Leona to The Irrevocable Trust of Leona B Hann. Memorial donations will be financing art supplies for senior living facilities that helped with Mom’s care and other programs Mom always said we needed more backing for local seniors. Our family realized first hand the gap in mental health resources with our mothers care and see areas where we could possibly help with her name as a memorial.
