Kelly "K-Dog" Smith Obituary

Kelly T. “K-Dog” Smith, 63, of Everett, PA; passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2021 at home with family by his side.  He was born on September 22, 1957 in Lackawanna, NY; a son of the late Mary Jacquelyn (Mansbarger) Smith and Emmit Dale Smith of Everett.  He was united in marriage to Cindy L. (Berg) Shaffer-Smith. 

Along with his dad and his wife Cindy, he is survived by children T. Michael Smith married to Tiffany, Everett and Robert Smith married to Becky, Downingtown; grandchildren Braxton, Braelin, Bruce, Brynleigh, Bayzleigh, Annabella and Makayla; step children Troy Shaffer and fiancé MacKenzee, Jessica Wilson married to Christian and Courtney Shaffer and fiancé Cody; step grandchildren Atticus, Gavin, Archer, Maxwell and Sullivan; siblings Mike Smith married to Mende, Pat Smith married to Dee, Erin Greenier married to Tom, Danny Smith married to Theresa and Tracy Smith married to Coreen; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Kelly was a graduate of Everett Area High School Class of 1976.    He was employed for the Everett Area School District in maintenance for twenty-five years meanwhile working at the Down River Golf Course for thirty years, where he could be found working on the golf carts.  He formerly worked at the Everite Door Company.   

Kelly enjoyed participating in pool leagues, golf tournaments, dancing, being with family at outings and spending time with his grandchildren. 

A private funeral service will be held in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Todd Bowles officiating.
