Kathy M. Fischer, 53, of South Valley Road, Crystal Spring, PA, entered into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at UPMC Altoona Hospital. She was born on March 29, 1969, in McConnellsburg, PA; a daughter of the late John E. and Helen D. (Pittman) Hann. On May 13, 1995, at the Breezewood Lighthouse Assembly of God, she was united in marriage to Michael L. Fischer.
Along with her husband, she is survived by daughter, Alenda Fischer, Crystal Spring, siblings Melvin Hann, Steven Hann, and Dreama Everts married to Norman “Bub,” all of McConnellsburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Kevin Hann.
She was a graduate of McConnellsburg High School Class of 1987.
Throughout her career she worked at First National Bank of McConnellsburg as an internal auditor before joining alongside her husband and daughter assisting on the family dairy farm.
Kathy was a faithful member of the Breezewood Lighthouse Assembly of God Church, where she was active in the Women’s Ministry group and served as president. In addition to her role in the Women’s Ministry, she also served her church in any way she possibly could.
She was also a faithful member of Crystal Spring Camp Meeting, not only attending camp meeting each year, but also helping to prepare the grounds for each year’s event.
Some of her favorite hobbies included crafting, working on ceramics, cross stitching, and baking, but the thing she enjoyed most was helping others in whatever capacity was needed. Kathy cherished her family and the time spent with them. She always had a smile on her face, no matter what she was going through, and she could always find the good in any challenge she was faced with.
Friends and Family will be received on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at the Breezewood Lighthouse Assembly of God Church from 2-5:00 P.M.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at 5:00 P.M. at the Breezewood Lighthouse Assembly of God Church with Pastors Jonathan and Tracey Wyns officiating.
Burial will be held privately at Akersville Cemetery, Crystal Spring.
