John Robert Russell

John Robert Russell, 60, of Mt. Pleasant Road, Breezewood, PA; passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.  He was born on February 9, 1961 in Martinsburg, PA; a son of the late Charles Kenneth and Mary Catherine (Metzgker) Russell.  On June 28, 1980 in Martinsburg, PA; he was united in marriage to Vicki A. (Clowson) Russell. 

Along with his wife he is survived by daughter Nicole A. married to Bradley Deffibaugh, Breezewood, PA; PFC Connor Deffibaugh, Caitlyn and Caysen Deffibaugh; sister Jeanette VanVeldhuzen married to James, Chambersburg.

He was preceded in death by brothers Charles Russell and Richard Russell.

Mr. Russell was a graduate of Central High School Class of 1979.

John was a member of the Martinsburg Grace Brethren Church.

He was currently employed by Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, working on the bridge crew in the summer and snow maintenance in the winter months.

He enjoyed carpentry, cement work, farming and forging.

Friends and Family may call at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA on Friday, December 3, 3021 from 4:30 P.M. until the hour of service at 7:00 P.M.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 7:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Kirschner officiating.
