James Williams Obituary

James E. Williams, 92, of Raystown Road, Everett, Pennsylvania; passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at Pennknoll Village.  He was born on August 13, 1927 in Clearville, Pennsylvania; a son of the late Lena (Williams) Howsare.  

On July 7, 1951 in Winchester, Virginia; he was united in marriage to Betty A. (Steele) Williams.

Along with his wife of sixty-nine years he is survived by two daughters LuAnn Lundquist of Hopewell, PA and Terri Segal married to Cindy Smith of Cape May, NJ; grandson Jared Lundquist and significant other Aerin Blackstone; three great grandchildren Katana, Abel and Gauge.

Mr. Williams was of the Protestant faith.  

Jim served in the United States Army.  He and his wife operated Dairyland Restaurant in the 1960’s and later owning and operating The Corral from 1968-1997.  He was an independent truck driver for many years and after retiring from trucking he continued to drive for Bollman Charter Service.

He loved spending time with his flying buddies, attending the local aviation club, flying his ultralight, going to air shows and meeting for breakfast.  He enjoyed his winter trips to Florida and the Florida fishing.

Jim was truly a “Mr. Fix It” and could repair anything.

A private funeral service will be held with burial held privately at Yellow Creek Reformed Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Everett Area Honor Guard.
