April 4, 1945 ~ November 17, 2020 (age 75) 75 Years Old

Hannah Kepple Obituary

Hannah Lois Kepple of Hopewell Township went into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 17, 2020 at Somerset Hospital.  She was 75 yrs. old, and the  loving wife of the David R. Kepple for 46 years. 

Born in Roaring Springs, she was the daughter of the late D. Orville Metzker and Elva Hoover Metzker.  She was also preceded in death by a sister, Grace Metzker. 

Hannah was a graduate of Central High School Class of 1963. She resided in Johnstown before moving to Hopewell.  Prior to retirement, Hannah was employed as a Resident Supervisor at Bedford-Somerset MHMR for many years.

Hannah enjoyed spending time with her family, crafts, traveling, genealogy and planning family gatherings.  She was a talented artist and loved to paint, sharing her gift with family and friends throughout the years.  

She has faithfully served her Church throughout her life, and was an active member of St. Paul's Church of Yellow Creek where she served in several leadership roles.  Hannah also had a beautiful voice and loved to sing.

Hannah will always be remembered as a very kind, loving, and caring person, touching all with a helping hand, a word of encouragement, and unconditional love.  She is survived by her sons Paul (Marygrace) of Hummelstown, John of Hopewell, Donald of Johnstown, and daughter Lynnae Herdman (Frank) of Hollidaysburg; 10 grandchildren; and 7 great- grandchildren with an additional 2 on the way.   Also her sister, Doris Cronemiller (Sheldon) of Breezewood, and many loved nephews, nieces and their families.  

A graveside service will be held at Diehl’s Crossroads Brethren Cemetery, Curryville at 2:30 P.M. on Tuesday, December 1, 2020.

Arrangements by Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road Everett, PA. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Hannah’s name to River Troutman (#RiverStrong), 1136 Farmers Valley Road Hopewell, PA 16650.
