Guy Diehl, 94, of Ritchey Road, Everett, PA; passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at home. He was born on January 23, 1928 in Monroe Township; a son of the late Orbial and Lulu Grace (Ritchey) Diehl. On May 8, 1954 in Cumberland, MD; he was united in marriage to Joyce J. (Baughman) Diehl.
Along with his wife of 68 years, he is survived by children Guy Eugene Diehl married to Susan (Yarnell), Alum Bank, PA; Michael W. Diehl married to Julie (Clark), Everett, PA and Cheryl J. McInroy married to Tom, Bedford, PA; grandchildren Derrick, Benjamin, Jordan, Misty, Brett, Spencer, Donald, Michelle, Jessica, and Alisha; and numerous great grandchildren.
He operated Guy’s Mobile in Everett for many years and was well known by many people during this time. He also was employed by Ferguson Mobile and lastly at Barkman Oil Company as a gas station attendant until his retirement.
Guy was a member of the William McKinley American Legion Post 155. He attended the Mt. Union Christian Church and was a graduate of Everett Area High School Class of 1946. Guy served in the United States Army as a private first class.
He enjoyed being with family, hunting, Atlanta Braves, Dallas Cowboys and watching NASCAR. He loved sharing his hunting album with friends and family.
Guy will be remembered for his smile, kindness and love for everyone.
Friends and family will be received on Friday, September 30, 2022 at Akers Funeral Home, Inc., Everett, PA from 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. and on Saturday, October 1, 2022 from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. in The Chapel at Akers Funeral Home, Inc., with Pastor Jeff Welsch officiating.
Burial will be held at Frame Church Cemetery with full Military Honors conducted by the Everett Area Honor Guard.
