Gerald "Jerry" D. Reid

Gerald (Jerry) Reid, 85, of Saxton, PA; passed away at his residence on May 28, 2020. He was born September 1934 in Saxton, PA; the son of the late Doyle and Mae (Dick) Reid.

He is survived by his wife, Rosemary (Willison) Reid of Saxton, PA they shared a life of sixty years together; son J. Mark Reid and his fiancé Susan of Saxton, PA; three grandchildren Tyson Reid (Heather), Jenna Reid (Ian), Jeremiah Reid (Brittany); and three great grandchildren Wyatt, Ellie, and Spencer Rose. 

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Reid.

Jerry was a graduate of Saxton Liberty High School in 1952. He then went on to serve his country in the United States Army. After his service, he spent his life working as a union carpenter. 

Jerry was a member of the Saxton United Methodist Church and also attended the Raystown Brethren Church.   

He was a lover of the outdoors and a lifetime member of the Saxton Sportsmen Association. He often enjoyed listening to and playing country music. He looked forward to daily visits from his little girl, Gretel. Jerry was a wonderful father and loving grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all. 

A graveside service will be held privately at Grandview Cemetery, Saxton.
