Eugene "Silver Fox" Feight

Eugene “Silver Fox” Feight, 74 of East Mattie Road, Breezewood, PA; passed away at home on Thursday, May 27, 2021 after a long courageous battle with cancer.  He was born on September 22, 1946 in Everett, PA; a son of the late Clarence Orville “Snowball” Feight and step-mother Helen (Snyder) and the late Emma (Fischer) Grubb and step-father Paul Grubb.  On August 20, 1965, he was united in marriage to Janet (Walters).

Along with his wife of fifty-five years, he is survived by children Jeffery Feight married to Sherry and Corinna Browell married to Michael; grandchildren Justin Feight, Bradley Feight, Michelle Kline married to Benjamin, Shannon Browell and Courtney Browell; brother Dennis Feight married to Carolyn; step-father Paul Grubb; also survived by  sister-in-law Shirley Mearkle and brothers-in-law Paul Walters, Jr. married to the late Lois; Bobby Walters married to Patty, Ross Walters and many nieces and nephew.

Eugene graduated from Everett High School Class of 1964.  He was a member of the Everett Assembly of God Church, having served on the board and was a Sunday School teacher for many years until his cancer diagnosis.  He loved reading the Bible and searching God’s word.

He was employed at the Standard Register Co. for twenty-seven years until their closing in 1992.  He then at the age of 46 went back to school and got his CDL license to drive truck and he then became the “Silver Fox” and was a well-known fixture throughout the trucking community.  He hauled fuel for Bedford Valley Petroleum for many years before moving to Gateway (TA) where he continued hauling fuel until his retirement in 2017. 

He most enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren:  in the earlier years he spent a lot of time in the woods hunting with the boys, he enjoyed following the grandchildren to the fairs and farm shows to cheer them on while they were showing animals and then as the boys got older and braver, on to the 4-wheeler racing and dirt track racing.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at 1:00 P.M.in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537 with Pastor John Wiley officiating.

Friends and family will be received on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Burial will be held at Akersville Cemetery.
