Dorothy M. (Wareham) Ritchey

Dorothy M. Ritchey, 79, of Pleasant Valley Road, Crystal Spring, PA; passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2021 at Embassy of Woodland Park, Orbisonia, PA.  She was born on October 4, 1942 in Everett, PA; a daughter of the late Walter and Elsie (Guyton) Wareham.  On July 21, 1960 in Winchester, VA; she was united in marriage to Joseph “Joe” C. Ritchey, Sr.  He preceded her in death on April 14, 2017.

She is survived by children Kimberly married to Daniel Fischer, Crystal Spring, PA; Joseph Ritchey Jr. married to Amy, Crystal Spring, PA and David Ritchey and fiancé Marcie Mellott, Crystal Spring, PA; grandchildren Jason Fischer and fiancé Christy, Andy Fischer married to Bethany (Burkheimer), Chris Fischer married to Karissa (Clark), Taylor Mellott and fiancé Amanda and Brandon Wright; and great grandchildren Brooke, Ada, Braxton, Bradyn, Colton, Hunter, Reagan and Weston and brothers Don and Ron Wareham.

She was preceded in death by siblings Harry Wareham, Pat Bohn, Mike Wareham and an infant brother.

Dorothy alongside her husband owned and operated Crestview Trailer Park for many years.  She was a graduate of Bedford High School Class of 1960.

Mrs. Ritchey was a member of Wesleyan Chapel, Berkeley Springs, WV.  Her greatest enjoyment was raising her family.  She was a loving mother, grandmother and cherished her time spent with family.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 6:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor William Swope and Pastor Matt Swope officiating.

Family and Friends may call at Akers Funeral Home, 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA, on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 from 4:00 P.M. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Burial will be held privately at Ritchey Cemetery.
