Donald R. Rush

Donald R. Rush, 73, of Rush Street, Everett, PA; went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 01, 2020 at home with his wife by his side.  He was born on September 03, 1946 in Everett, PA: a son of the late Harold K. Rush, Sr. and Rose Marie (Brandt) Rush.  On November 01, 1987 in Tatesville, PA; he was united in marriage to Patricia A. (Padgett) Rush.

Along with his wife he is survived by children Donna Jean, Donald, Patsy and Ronald and their families; step-sons Mitchell, Robert and Kirk; five step-grandchildren and eleven step great grandchildren; siblings

Harold K. Rush, Jr. married to Connie (Creps), Everett,  Veryl C. Rush, Everett, Daniel W. Rush married to Judy (Rhodes), Everett and Bonnie Sue Tew, Breezewood.

He was preceded in death by sisters Sylvia Maust and Linda Bloom; brothers-in-law Robert Bloom, Roger Tew; sister-in-law Regina Rush; nephew Harold Rush and step-son Michael.

Don owned and operated D.R.R. Landscaping and Lawn Service for twenty-six years until his retirement.  He loved his job and being around his customers.

He was a member of the Mt. Union Christian Church, Mench.

Don was a proud member of the NRA, and an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed his yearly trip to Disney World in Florida.

Friends and Family may call at the Akers Funeral Home, 299 Raystown Road, Everett on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 from 4-8 P.M. and on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Koontz officiating.

Burial will be held in Mt. Union Cemetery.
