Donald E. Replogle, 79, of Raystown Road, Hopewell, PA; passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2020. He was born on December 19, 1940 a son of the late James S. and Kathryn E. (Foor) Replogle. In Yellow Creek he was united in marriage to Norma J. (Clapper) Replogle. She preceded him in death on January 9, 2011.
He is survived by children Lora A. married to James Palmer, Todd, PA; Douglas A. Replogle married to Susan (Smith), Hopewell, PA; grandchildren Justin Amick married to Stacey (Miller), Salemville; Brandon Amick, Salemville; Joshua Cannin married to Becky, Saltillo, PA; Jarett Cannin and significant other Amanda, Hesston; Samantha Replogle and fiancé Ryan Foor, Hopewell; Amanda and Jessica Replogle, Altoona and
Eric Smith married to Fallon, Hopewell; five great grandchildren Kaiden, Kamrin, Kolsen Amick, Carson Foor and Keegan Foor; three step great grandchildren Eric, Alena and Ian Smith; brother Dennis A. Replogle married to Brenda (Sleighter), Yellow Creek; sisters-in-law Tanya (Boden) Replogle and Blodwyn “Bobbie” Replogle.
He was preceded in death by two brothers James R. Replogle and Gerald W. “Jerry” Replogle; sister-in-law Mona Clapper.
He was a member of the Bethel Church of the Brethren.
Don was a graduate of Northern Bedford County High School, where he participated in football, basketball and baseball.
He served in the United States Army in Germany from 1958-1961. After serving in the United States Army he went to work at Ornamental Iron in Akron, OH and later in Boston, Massachusetts for a number of years before becoming a cement finisher until his retirement.
He enjoyed watching Nascar Racing, Steeler and Penn State Football and the Pittsburgh Pirates.
His greatest enjoyment was his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Friends and Family will be received at St. Paul’s Reformed Church on Friday, September 11, 2020 from 10A.M. until 12:00 Noon. A Private Memorial Service will follow with Pastor Tim McIntyre officiating for the family with burial at Yellow Creek Reformed Cemetery.
