On June 13, 2022 after a valiant battle against cancer, Daniel passed away- he went to meet his
Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His favorite scriptures include: John 3:16 For God so loved the
world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him would not perish, but
will have everlasting life. Psalm 91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most high shall
abide under the shadow of the Almighty. His favorite song – Jesus Loves me. He was a lover of
Jesus and spoke life and encouraging words to everyone he met. He loved mission work- he
was even called the “mission man”.
He lived much of his adult life in Baltimore, MD where he worked as a Credit Manager. He
served as minister, deacon, advisor and treasurer in the church throughout his lifetime. He was
an active volunteer in the Watershed Committee, Coal Miner’s Museum, and several local area
cemeteries.
He was born in Hopewell, PA on March 4, 1937 to Lloyd Fluke and Martha (Black) Fluke.
He married Gladys (Leighty) Fluke on December 6, 1958- He was a loving Husband for 63 years
Lovingly remembered by his children- Rev Tim Fluke married to Lisa (Jones) Fluke, Glenda
Macas married to Luis Macas and Martha Stanley married to Marc Stanley. His Grandchildren-
Danielle Fluke, Bethany Mendez and Alisha Strother and Great Grandchildren- Kyrie, Nina, Elias
and Nani.
A Celebration of Daniel’s life will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the Akers Funeral Chapel with Pastor Chris Clinger and Pastor Lanny Hoover officiating.
Friends and Family will be received on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at the Akers Funeral Chapel, 715 Church Street, Saxton, PA 16678 from 5-7 P.M. and on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service.
Burial will be held in Langdondale Cemetery.
If friends so desire memorial contributions may be made in memory of Dan to the Church of God Tabernacle.
