Charles Reginald “Reggie” Kifer, 74, of Saxton, passed away on January 21, 2022 at his home. Reggie lived with his mother and grandmother until their passing. He was born on August 17, 1947 in Pittsburgh, PA; a son of Ruby Kifer; who preceded him in death in 2000.
Reggie had no siblings, so his many cousins Robbie Mosebey, Merla Satterfield and Ruby Hipp became his family. He was a graduate of Tussey Mountain High School Class of 1965 and was the band president his senior year. Upon graduation, he attended West Virginia University where he received a degree in business administration. He returned to Saxton, PA; where he resided until his passing.
Reggie spent his career working at the shoe factory in Martinsburg, the power plant in Saxton, various coal mines and lastly working at Seton as a supervisor for over twenty years until the plants closing.
He served in the National Guard. His hobbies included working on cars and watching Nascar racing. He had a pleasing personality and was very friendly. Because of this he was well thought of in the community. Reggie being a believer confessed that “I don’t know how anyone can live without the Lord.”
Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 from 1-3:00 P.M. at the Akers Funeral Chapel, 715 Church Street, Saxton, PA 16678.
Funeral Service will be held at the Akers Funeral Chapel at 3:00 P.M.
Burial will be held privately at Yellow Creek Reformed Cemetery.
