Betty Louisa (Imes) Robinson, 93, of Everett passed away at home, surrounded by her family, on January 22, 2022. She was born in Hewitt, PA on December 29, 1928, a daughter of the late Regia L. Imes and Gladys (Bennett) Imes.
On November 5, 1948, she married Roy L. Robinson, who preceded her in death on November 8, 2004, having celebrated 56 years of marriage together.
She is survived by her three daughters: Debra Harclerode; Susan, wife of Joseph Williams; and Sharon, wife of Stephen Swartz, all of Everett. She is also survived by her five grandchildren and their families: Patrick and Angela (Avillion) Williams of Port Matilda, PA; Justin and Leigh (Henry) Harclerode of Arlington, VA; Mark and Chrystie (Ammon) Williams of Port Matilda, PA; Adrienne Swartz of Everett; Nathan and Stasha (West) Swartz of Frederick, MD. Her seven great-grandchildren are Teague, Quinn, and Logan Williams; Maeve and Brigid Harclerode; Adriana Smith and Kayana Swartz who, along with Austin Carson, were days away from making Betty a great-great-grandmother. Betty is also survived by brother Upton Imes of Everett; sister Mildred, wife of Samuel D. Howser., Jr of Pocomoke, MD; sister-in-law Carol Imes of Fayetteville, NC; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by sisters Maxine Yokum and Martha King, and brothers Floyd, Earl, and Victor Imes.
Betty was of the Christian faith, a graduate of Everett High School class of 1946, attended Catherman's Business School, and was employed at Lion Manufacturing Company for 18 years. She was a loving mother, adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, keeping in touch with them on email and Facebook, and never failing to ensure they were all well fed. Her chipped beef gravy and gob cake were legendary. She had a sharp, warm wit, and she was always ready to lend a helping hand to family, friends, and neighbors.
Friends and Family will be received on Friday, May 13, 2022 from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, May 13, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in The Chapel at Akers Funeral Home. Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537.
