Betty Koontz Obituary

Betty B. (Reed) Koontz was called home to The Lord on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at Pennknoll Village. She was born on July 26, 1929 in Everett, PA; a daughter of the late John H. and Pearl (Weicht) Reed. She was married to Orville L. Koontz, Sr.; he preceded her in death on July 13, 2007. Surviving is two sons Orville L. Koontz, Jr. married to Roberta (Cornell) Koontz and Robert E. Koontz married to Kathryn (Beegle) Koontz; grandson Robert A. Koontz and great-grandsons Mason Allen Koontz and Miles Lynn Koontz and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by daughter Linda Lee Koontz who passed away on September 15, 1963; brothers Robert, Roscoe, Charles “Chuck”, Raymond “Gene” and one infant brother. She was a lifetime member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Everett as well as a member of The Altar Guild. Betty was a graduate of Everett Area High School Class of 1947.
