Wilbur “Bud” C. Smith, 78 of Everett, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 9, 2019 at UPMC Altoona Hospital. He was born on June 15, 1941 in Smithton, Pennsylvania; a son of the late Homer J. and Audrey J. (Frye) Smith. In 1977 he was united in marriage with Laura M. (Wink) Smith in Barren Run, PA.
Along with his wife of forty-two years he is survived by children Sandy married to Joe Waltower, Terry Smith married to Lisa, Bill Smith married to Rose, and Mike Smith; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; sisters Becky Leighty of Smithton, PA and Patty Markle, Chesnee, SC.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Glenna Lilly.
He attended the Liberty Independent Baptist Church.
Bud drove truck for Roadway Express, retiring after twenty-five years of service.
He enjoyed farming, watching NASCAR and westerns, eating hot dogs and sauerkraut, and loved listening to the Bible.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 13, 2019 at 7:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Clifford Swankler officiating.
