Ronald L. Lundquist, 82, of Givler Drive, Martinsburg, PA; passed away on Friday, October 18, 2019 at Homewood at Martinsburg. He was born on June 23, 1937 in Hopewell, PA; a son of the late Arthur D. and Rhoda (Gainer) Lundquist. On December 2, 1960 in the Everett Church of the Brethren he was united in marriage to the former Bonnita Dawn (Stiffler) Lundquist.
Along with his wife he is survived by children Robin Pittman married to Ken, Everett, PA; Jill Maxwell married to Gene, Augusta, GA; Stephanie Detwiler married to Daryl, Hopewell, PA; Janice Swanson married to Ronald, Greensboro, NC and Lori Kinzer married to Ken, Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren Tiffany Mason, Renee Nicholson, Eric Detwiler, Erin Kilgore, Ben Swanson, Nicole Bloemen, Jenna Kinzer and Mitchell Kinzer; six special great-grandchildren; two step great grandchildren and siblings Delores Territo, Martinsburg, PA; Cynthia Baker married to William, Saxton, PA; Gary Lundquist, Hopewell, PA and Tom Lundquist married to Kathy, Greencastle, PA.
Ronald was a graduate of Robert P. Smith High School Class of 1955. He was the founder of R. L. Insulation and worked in commercial and industrial insulation and asbestos removal all his life. He was formerly a member of the Everett Church of the Brethren but most recently was a member of the Martinsburg Church of the Brethren. He was also a member of the Everett Masonic Lodge F.&A.M. No. 524 and was active in the Hopewell Cemetery Association. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was fond of the time he got to spend at his cabin in Jack’s Corner, where he could be found in the woods or giving rides to his grandchildren and dogs.
Friends and family will be received on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at the Everett Church of the Brethren, 119 East 2nd Street, Everett, PA 15537 from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service at the church.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at the Everett Church of the Brethren with Pastor Mike Benner officiating.
