Ronald L. Foor

Ronald L. Foor, 80, of Summit Street, Everett, PA; passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at home.  He was born on October 28, 1938 in Everett, Pennsylvania; a son of the late Murray M. and Helen (Weicht) Foor.   On April 19, 1963 in the Zion Lutheran Church, Everett; he was united in marriage to his wife of fifty-six years Jane L. (Foor).

Along with his wife he is survived by two children Lorie Foor, Harrisburg, PA and Dr. Jamie Foor married to Jane, State College, PA; two grandchildren Alex and Allison Foor; siblings Geraldine married to Ken Reed; Mick Foor married to Kathy; Janet Trail and Debra Peck.

He was preceded in death by siblings Marle Foor, Carole Lawhead and Lois Marie Foor.

Ronald attended Everett Area High School and served in the United States Army from 1957-1958 as a Private First Class.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Everett.  Mr. Foor enjoyed playing golf, cards and especially spending time with grandchildren.

He was a self-employed excavator owning and operating Ronald Foor Excavating for many years until later going to work for New Enterprise Stone and Lime until his retirement.

Friends and Family may call at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett on Monday, August 5, 2019 from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 5, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home, with Pastor Kathy Popp officiating.

Burial will be held privately at Everett Cemetery.
