Ronald Feight Obituary

Ronald L. Feight, 79, of Maple Drive, Bedford, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at home.  He was born on May 29, 1940 in Bedford, Pennsylvania; a son of the late Virgil and H. Marie (Burkett) Feight.  On November 20, 1960 in the First United Church of Christ, Everett he was united in marriage to Gloria Ann (Conner) Feight.  She preceded him in death on September 27, 2004.

He is survived by daughters LeAnn married to Douglas Bussard, Bedford, PA; Lisa married to Steve Leidy, Hampstead, MD and Misty Musselman and fiancé Eugene Rogers, Osterburg, PA; grandchildren Bailey Gailey married to Trey; Sarah Musselman; Amie Musselman and Cambria Leidy; great-grandchildren Braxton Gailey, Christian Mock and Stella Gailey; companion Karin Socie and his dog “Macy” that will miss him and was never far from his side.

Mr. Feight previously worked at the Bedford County Sheriff’s Department as a Sheriff’s Deputy for many years. Along with his wife, he owned and operated the Subway for several years at the Clark Building in Bedford and later at the Bedford Interchange. Ron most recently worked for Fisher Auto Parts as a delivery driver.

 

Ronald was a member of the Bedford Masonic Lodge F.&A.M. No. 320, Altoona Jaffa Shrine, Bedford Elks and the Bedford Sons of the American Legion #0113 as well as a former member of the Everett Volunteer Fire Company.  He enjoyed auto racing, fishing, caring for his property and was a member of the Lazy Bees Camping Club.

Ron was a member of the First Christian Church in Everett.

Friends and Family will be received on Monday, September 9, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. and on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Rev. Robert R. Robertson officiating.

Burial will be held privately at Everett Cemetery.
