Paul "Jake" Diehl, Jr. Obituary

Paul A. “Jake” Diehl, Jr., 46, of Everett, PA; passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2019. He was born on June 16, 1972 in Everett, PA; a son of Paul A. and Gloria Jean (Hammond) Diehl of Everett.

Along with his parents he is survived by half-brother Clinton Whited, Tampa, FL and sister Tammy Bumbaugh married to Troy, Waynesboro, PA; nephew Ty Lee Bumbaugh; special friend Angie Taylor and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Paul was preceded in death by his grandparents Raymond and Lydia Diehl and John and Roberta Graham.

Jake drove truck most recently for Smith Transport and formerly for Preferred Cartage and TransAm.

He was affiliated with the Midway Baptist Church in S.C and the First Christian Church in Everett. 

He was a graduate of Everett Area High School Class of 1990.

Jake loved trucks and collecting die-cast models. He was a Ford fan, enjoyed riding Harley Davidsons, and liked listening to classic country music.

Jake especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

Friends and family will be received at Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 from 4-8 P.M. and on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Robert Robertson officiating.

Burial will be held at Bethel Cemetery, Hopewell.
