Miles Chamberlain Obituary

Miles D. Chamberlain, 71, of Felton Hollow Road, Everett, PA; passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2019.  He was born on February 6, 1948 in Everett, Pennsylvania; a son of the late Floyd and Thelma (Bivens) Chamberlain.  On November 14, 1970 in Mt. Union Church, Menchtown; he married Carol A. (Felton) Chamberlain.
Along with his wife of forty-eight years he is survived by two sons Jeffrey Chamberlain married to Jodi, Bedford, PA and Adam Chamberlain married to Robin, Cumberland, MD; two grandchildren Jesse and Jude Chamberlain; five step grandchildren Christopher Conway, Kellen Conway, Kali Clark, Kylie Rose and Ryan Conway; and two brothers Darrel Chamberlain married to Bonnie, Everett and Gerald Chamberlain married to Joanne, Everett.
He was a graduate of Everett Area High School Class of 1967 and served in the United States Army from 1968-1970.
Miles's legacy will forever be etched in the family he loved and the countless people he touched over his 71 years.  It was through his work, his time as a race car driver, and most importantly, his time as a racing chassis builder that these relationships were forged.  Hundreds of race cars were built at his hand over a fifty year period.  Second only to his family, this was by far his greatest passion.  He loved to shepherd young drivers and crew members along and see them become successful.  This joy for him far exceeded his own accomplishments as a driver.  Many young drivers got their starts in one of his cars and went on to be local and regional success stories.  Each one of these young drivers that came through his shop door brought many other folks with them, all of which became friends associated with racing.  It's these relationships and the fun times that were had that are irreplaceable.
Hopefully there are garages and race tracks in heaven.  We could not imagine Miles anywhere else.  So we will see you on the next lap Dad....  We love you.  God speed......
