Mary (Hann) Reed

Mary (Hann) Reed, 79, of Liberty Street, Saxton, PA, passed away on January 13, 2020 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.  She was born on October 21, 1940 in Roaring Spring, Pennsylvania; a daughter of the late Russel A. and Minnie C. (Foor) Hann.  On May 19, 1963 in the Rays Cove Christian Church she was united in marriage to James H. Reed.

Along with her husband she is survived by children Timothy M Reed married to Amanda, Martinsburg, PA; Lisa V. Houck married to Tim, Six Mile Run, PA; Bethann Hall married to Gary, Martinsburg, PA and Jamie K. Reed and fiancé Misty Black, Saxton, PA; siblings Vyonne Johnson, Bernard Hann and Tom Hann; fourteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by siblings Lucy Marie Hann, Shrock Hann, Wilfred Hann and Willard Hann; granddaughters Rachel Nicole Houck and Rose Bud Reed.

Mrs. Reed was a graduate of Everett Area High School Class of 1961. She was a member of the Kearney Union Church.

Mary enjoyed singing with the Saxtonettes in local nursing homes, crocheting, spending time with her family and her furbaby buttercup, plastic canvases and putting puzzles together.

Friends and family will be received on Thursday, January 16, 2020 from 6-8 P.M. at Akers Funeral Chapel, 715 Church Street, Saxton, PA 16678 and on Friday, January 17, 2020 from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 17, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Akers Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jerry Wright officiating.

Burial will be held at Langdondale Cemetery.
