Madoline Mae (Weaverling) Snyder, 87, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 16, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was born on June 11, 1932 in Kearney, PA; a daughter to Harold and Catherine “Kate” (Zelanko) Weaverling. In 1951, in the Immaculate Conception Church, Dudley, she was united in marriage to Ernest E. Snyder. He preceded her in heath on August 31, 1989.
She is survived by children Ernest Snyder married to Sabrina of Defiance, PA, Michael Snyder married to Stacy, Everett, PA, Katrinka Black and John Truax of Kearney, PA, Mark Snyder, Kearney, PA, Katrina Snyder and Scott White, Six Mile Run, PA; son in law Terry L. Long, Martinsburg, PA; brothers Earl E. Fetters and Harold Weaverling; twenty grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Madoline as preceded in death by daughter Beth LeAnn (Snyder) Long, brothers Darrell Zelanko, John Zelanko and a sister Louise Zelanko Kolodziej.
She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, Dudley, PA, Saxton Sportsman’s, Broad Top American Legion Post #126 and Saxton V.F.W. Post #1429 Auxiliary.
Madoline was a graduate of the Robert P. Smith School Class of 1951.
She enjoyed playing Yahtzee, cards and spending quality time with her family and friends.
Friends and family will be received on Thursday, September 19, 2019 from 6-8 P.M. at the Akers Funeral Chapel, 715 Church Street, Saxton, PA 16678 and on Friday from 12:00 noon until departure to the church.
Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 20, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at the Immaculate Conception Church in Dudley, PA with Father Matthew Baum officiating.
Burial will be held in Ave Maria Catholic Cemetery.
