Larry E. Finnegan, Sr., 67, of Riddlesburg; passed away on Monday, Oct. 8, 2018, at Donahoe Manor, Bedford.
He was born May 15, 1951, in Everett, a son of the late Clara Finnegan-Cook.
On July 9, 1991, he was united in marriage to Josephine (Kelly) Corrie-Finnegan.
Along with his wife, he is survived by son, Larry Finnegan Jr. and significant other, Liz Cassarly, of Altoona; step-children, Cathy J. (Corrie), married to Timothy Cottle, of Everett; Joseph G. Corrie, of Hopewell; Bobby Jo (Corrie), married to David Park, of Broad Top; one sister; grandchildren, Adrianna Finnegan; step-grandchildren, Mikayla, Myron Cottle, Brittany, married to Brandon Stevens, married to Brandon; Joseph Wayne Thomas and Dylan Park; step-great-grandchildren, Hailey and Kampton.
Larry was preceded in death by a brother, John Cook Jr.; step-grandson, Justin L. Cottle; and step-daughter-in-law, Tina Thomas.
He was affiliated with Riddlesburg Church of the Brethren throughout his childhood. Larry enjoyed Nascar Racing, especially his favorite driver Dale Earnhardt. He was an avid sports fan, always quick to root on his Pittsburgh Steelers. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Friends and family may call at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, on Thursday, Oct. 11, from noon until the hour of service. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 11, at 1 p.m. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home, with Pastor Alfred Chamberlain officiating. Burial will be held at Yellow Creek Reformed Cemetery.
