Joyce A. (Brantner) Thomas

Joyce A. Thomas, 65, of 315 State Street, Everett, Pennsylvania; passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at home.  She was born on March 23, 1954 in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania; a daughter of Floyd C. Brantner and the late Lois E. (Straight) Brantner.  She was united in marriage to the late James C. “Jim” Thomas.  He preceded her in death on June 16, 2016.

She is survived by children Mike Thomas married to Angie, Waldorf, MD and step-daughter Lisa married to Dale Shaw, Everett, PA; grandson Jarrett Brantner; siblings Richard Brantner, Everett, PA; Randy C. Brantner married to Deb, Houstontown, PA; Susan R. Coughlin married to Mike, Waterfall, PA; Russell E. Brantner married to Annette, Three Springs, PA and Elizabeth Miller married to Barry, Three Springs, PA.

Along with her mother and husband she was preceded in death by a sister-in-law Karen Brantner.

Mrs. Thomas was a graduate of Southern Huntingdon Class of 1972.  She worked as a secretary at the district justice office in Everett, PA.

Friends and family will be received on Friday, November 8, 2019 from 4-7 P.M. at Akers Funeral Home, 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537.
