James T Kalfas

James T. Kalfas, 54, of Monroe Street, Everett, PA; passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.  He was born on August 10, 1964 in Dobbs Ferry, NY; a son of Ada Loretta (Williams) Long married to Roy Long, Everett, PA and the late Chris John Kalfas.  He was united in marriage to Betty J. (Shaffer) Kalfas on October 26, 1984 in Hagerstown, MD.

Along with his wife, mother and step father he is survived by children Chris Kalfas married to Maureen, Johnstown, PA and Stephanie Kalfas and fiancé Roger Elensky, Altoona, PA; granddaughter Maeve Catherine; siblings Matt Kalfas, John Kalfas, Debbie Mills, Christina Valentine, Sarah Cooley, Cynthia Kalfas and Rebekah Zawalish.

He attended Clear Creek Brethren In Christ Church, Everett.

James worked as the head of customer service for Eakin / Youngentob Construction in Maryland and Virginia.  He enjoyed woodworking, spending time with his granddaughter, family and his little dog “Lily”.  James was an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan.

A Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537 from 2-4 P.M.
