Heidi L. Klahre

Heidi L. Klahre, 43, of Fieldstone Avenue, Johnstown, PA; passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at her home.  She was born on February 27, 1976 in Everett, PA; a daughter of Kenneth R. and Sandra K. (Smith) Klahre of Clearville.  

Along with her parents she is survived by siblings William E. Klahre, Clearville, PA and Brianne N. married to Brent Brennan, Breezewood, PA; nieces and nephews Betsy K., Blake D. and Belle N. Brennan; grandfather Ellis Klahre, Clearville and grandparents William and Mildred Smith, Everett.

She was preceded in death by grandmother Marjorie Klahre.

Heidi was a member of the Community Grace Brethren Church.  She was a graduate of Everett Area High School Class of 1994, Millersville University with a Bachelor of Science in Music Education, and received her Masters degree in Library Science from Mansfield University.

She was a educator for over fifteen years, teaching music and later library for Shade-Central City School District.

Heidi loved reading, had a love for music and playing the piano and sorely missed her companion, her dog "Cat".

She enjoyed purchasing her nieces and nephew books for all occasions.

Friends and Family may call on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 from 4-8 P.M. at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537 and on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Lee Seese officiating.

Burial will be held at Pleasant Union Cemetery.
