Ethelyn L. Mills

Ethelyn L. Mills, 82, of Bedford, PA; passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.  She was born on August 1, 1937 in Clearville, Pennsylvania; a daughter of the late Marshall “Socks” and Lyda (Chamberlain) Mills.

She is survived by sisters Nancy J. married to Max Clark and Connie M. married to Charles Anderson.  She was a loving aunt to her nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews and great great’s.

Ethelyn was preceded in death by a sister Barbara (Mills) and husband Bobby Morral, brother John H. Mills and wife Betty (Pepple) and three infant siblings.

She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Clearville, PA.

Ethelyn was a graduate of Everett Area High School Class of 1955.  Upon graduation Ethelyn began her career at the Everett Area School District as the elementary principal’s secretary, working her way up to Executive Secretary at the District’s central office until her retirement on June 30, 2001, having worked at the Everett Area School District for forty-seven years.

She was and avid reader and enjoyed cards, Dominos, crossword puzzles, and music.

Family and Friends may call at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc. 299 Raystown Road, Everett on Saturday, September 21, 2019 from 2:00 - 4:00 P.M. for a time of visitation.

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 4:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Lay Speaker Robbie Roland officiating.

Burial will be held privately at Rock Hill Cemetery.
