Elizabeth D. (Griffith) Donaldson

Elizabeth D. Donaldson, 82, of North Spring Street, Everett, PA; passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at Pennknoll Village, Everett, PA.  She was born May 11, 1937 in Gray, Pennsylvania; a daughter of the late Charles and Arminta  (Tressler) Griffith.  On September 24, 1952 in Winchester, Virginia she was united in marriage to the late James R. Donaldson, Sr.; he preceded her in death on March 31, 1998.

She is survived by children James R. Donaldson, Jr. married to Cindy, Six Mile Run, PA; Brian D. Donaldson married to Lois, Hopewell, PA and Debra A. Young, Breezewood, PA; eight grandchildren, two step grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; two sisters Shirley Bouchard, Jacksonville, FL and Arminta Pittman, Hopewell, PA.

Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by sons David Donaldson and Gary Donaldson; siblings Carol Weaver, Betty Zelanko, Oscar Griffith, Joseph Griffith, Charles Griffith, James Griffith, half-brother Charles and half-sister Anna.

Elizabeth worked as a housekeeper for 76 Truck Stop and later working as a waitress until her retirement.  She was a member of the Hopewell Senior Center and enjoyed flea marketing, working crossword puzzles, and attending Friday nights at the Black Diamond Café.

Friends and Family may call on Friday, August 16, 2019 from 2:00 P.M. until the hour of service at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 16, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home, Everett.

Burial will be held privately at Duvall Cemetery.
