Daniel A. May

Daniel A. May, 28, of Walnut Lane, Everett, PA; passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2019.  He was born on October 7, 1990 in Cumberland, Maryland; a son of Tina (Trail) Pittman married to Ruste and Donald B. May and companion Sherrie Dever.

Along with his parents he is survived by siblings Vanessa Whysong married to Greg, Fishtertown, PA; Rande Pittman, Maryland and Chris Pittman, Everett, PA; grandparents Ronald and Donna May, Flintstone, MD and Judy Trail, Chaneysville, PA; aunts and uncles Tami Appel and fiancé Brian Shives; Rhonda and Alec Twigg, and Trena and Bob Webb; nephews Ethan and Dylan; niece Brielle and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandfather Webb Trail.

Mr. May was a graduate of Everett Area High School Class of 2009 and also graduated from Bedford County Technical Center as a certified welder.  He was employed at L.B. Foster as a welder and cared a lot about his work family.

Daniel was a loving member of the Crossroads Bible Church as well as a member of Shopmen’s Union Local #527 and The Outdoor Club.  He enjoyed hanging out with his nephew Ethan, riding his four-wheeler, snowboarding, and boating with his friends. Daniel was always there for his family and always willing to lend them a helping hand.  Daniel was an avid motorhead and enjoyed mud bogging.  He had a love for his Ford Mustangs.  He never looked at any man as a stranger and greeted them as “Brother”. Daniel was always offering his help to anyone who needed it. He had several close friends that were an important part of his life.

Daniel loved his Savior Jesus Christ very much and wanted everyone to know of the saving grace of God Almighty.

Friends and family will be received on Sunday, June 30, 2019 from 2:00-4:00 P.M. and from 6:00 P.M.- 8:00 P.M. at Akers Funeral Home, 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537 and on Monday, July 1, 2019 from 10 A.M. until the hour of service at the church.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 1, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the Crossroads Bible Church, 5564 Business 220, Bedford, PA 15522 with Pastor Mark Dillow Officiating.

Burial will be held at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Chaneysville, PA.
