Frank W. Brennan

Frank W. Brennan, 88, of Simon Fox Road, Huntingdon, PA; passed away on Friday, June 30, 2017 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.  He was born on October 23, 1928 in Saxton, Pennsylvania; a son of the late John W. and Leda Elizabeth (Blake) Brennan.  On August 30, 1954 in Winchester, Virginia; he was united in marriage to Lucille Catherine (Taylor) Brennan.  She preceded him in death on January 6, 1985.

He is survived by daughter Kim married to Dennis Sitch, McConnellstown, PA;  a brother James Brennan, Saxton, PA; two grandsons Kelly and Tyler Sitch; two great grandchildren Lucille Rose Sitch and Archer Glenn Sitch.

Frank was preceded in death by siblings Robert Brennan, Gerald Brennan and Michael Brennan.

Mr. Brennan was a member of the Saxton First Church of God.  He was a proud Huntingdon County Democrat.

Frank was an operating engineer working for Local Union #66 his entire working career until his retirement.

Frank was a graduate of Saxton Liberty High School Class of 1946 and was a member of the Saxton V.F.W. Post No. 4129.  He was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates and Penn State Nittany Lions fan.  He enjoyed taking walks and being with family.

Family and Friends may call on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 from 6-8 P.M. at the Akers Funeral Chapel, Saxton and on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at the Akers Funeral Chapel with Pastor Steve Oberman officiating. 

Interment will be held at Duvall Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Broad Top Area Honor Guard.
