Dennis Blair Grace, Sr., 77, of Victoria Avenue, Everett, passed away on September 6, 2017 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.  He was born on November 15, 1939 in Hopewell, Pennsylvania; a son of the late James Blair and Gayle (Winter) Grace.  On February 18, 1967 in the Langdondale Methodist Church he married Ruth (Mason) Grace.  Along with his wife of fifty years, he is survived by children, Denise married to Richard Metzner, West Palm Beach, FL, Lisa married to David Allard, Keene, NH, Dennis B. Grace Jr. and significant other Rebecca Bock, Hershey, PA and Michele married to Adam Campion, Crownsville, MD; grandchildren, Emma Allard, Jonathan Allard, Kirsten Grace, Taylor Grace, Ryan Grace, Giselle Grace, Benjamin Campion and Jack Campion; and a brother Kenneth Grace married to Lucille, Everett, PA.

Dennis was a graduate of Everett Area High School, Class of 1958.  He served in the United States Army from 1962-1965 during the Vietnam War serving as a SP4-E-4.  He earned the following decorations Marksman (Carbine) and Marksman Badge with Missile Bar. 

Mr. Grace served a four year electrical apprenticeship before working his 35 year career as an electrician with I.B.E.W. Union #25 out of Long Island, New York.

He was a member of the Six Mile Run United Methodist Church, Defiance, PA as well as the Hopewell Senior Citizens. He was a resident of Homewood at Springhouse Estates.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 11, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Lay Minister Rod Donaldson officiating.

Family and Friends will be received on Sunday, September 10th, 2017 from 5-7 P.M. and on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of the service at Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett.

Burial will be held at Yellow Creek Reformed Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Everett Area Honor Guard.
