Connie L. Ickes

Connie L. Ickes, 79, of Fieldcrest Road, Everett, PA; passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Windber Hospice Center.  She was born on February 28, 1938 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; a daughter of the late George and Mabel Colestock.  On June 8, 1963 in Lemoyne, PA; she was united in marriage to Marlin K. Ickes.  Along with her husband of fifty-four years she is survived by children Ranee Oiler and companion Jan Kuchenbecker; son Michael K. Ickes married to Judy, Oxford, PA; grandson Aron Ickes, Tempe, AZ; and a forever friend Sue Howsare.

Mrs. Ickes was of the Protestant Faith.

Throughout the years Connie was employed at Hedstrom and later at Penn Tire in the bookkeeping departments.

She enjoyed ceramics, reading and traveling to visit her daughter in Florida.  In her younger years she enjoyed golfing.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Daniel Oldham officiating.

Family and Friends will be received on Monday, November 6, 2017 at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett from 5-7 P.M. and on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Burial will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park.
